Supporting Documentation: Recapitulation of external revenues by source as per the Public Accounts of Canada (Volume 2, Table 4a)
General Notes
- Amounts are rounded to the nearest thousand, matching how the values are represented in the associated table within the Public Accounts of Canada. As of the PAC 2025 release of this data, a new field Amount-units_Montant-unite has been added to the CSV file to clearly indicate this for all rows.
- If no amount is shown, either the revenues were less than $500 or none were reported.
- In 2009 the "Crown-corporations" header has been changed to "Crown-corporations-and-other-entities".
- As of the 2025 release, the following columns were renamed to improve readability and bilingualism:
- FSCL_YR was renamed to Fscl-yr_Ex-fin
- SECTION_EN was renamed to Section-lvl1_niv1_eng

- In order to take into account the subsidies granted to employers in the context of the pandemic, "Canada Recovery Hiring Program" and "Tourism and Hospitality Recovery and Hardest-hit Business Recovery Program" have been added as new sub-sub-sub-section under the "Corporate" sub-sub-section, which is under the "Income tax revenues" sub-section and under the "Tax revenues" section.
