General Notes

• Data under Salaries_Salaires column (Current fiscal year salaries expenses) includes allowances in lieu of pay
• Data under Tuition-fees_Frais-scolarite column (Current fiscal year tuition fees expenses) includes book allowances
• Some departments' names have been updated over the years, others have changed ministry but their department number is still the same under column Dept-nbr_No-min.

As of the 2025 release, the following columns were renamed to improve readability and bilingualism:

• FSCL_YR was renamed Fscl-yr_Ex-fin
• MINC was renamed Min-code
• MINE was renamed Min-portfolio_Portefeuille-min_eng
• MINF was renamed Min-portfolio_Portefeuille-min_fra
• DepartmentNumber-Numéro-de-Ministère was renamed to Dept-nbr_No-min
• DEPT_EN_DESC was renamed Department-name_Ministere-nom_eng
• DEPT_FR_DESC was renamed Department-name_Ministere-nom_fra

As of the 2024 release, the English and French datafiles were combined into a bilingual file and the following columns were updated:

• Number-of-employees and Nombre-d'employés were combined and renamed Nbr-employees_No-employes
• Salaries and Salaires were combined and renamed Salaries_Salaires
• Travel-and-living-costs and Frais-de-déplacement-et-de-séjour were combined and renamed Travel-living-exp_Frais-deplace-sejour
• Tuition-fees and Frais-de-scolarité were combined and renamed Tuition-fees_Frais-scolarite
• Other-expenses and Autres-dépenses were combined and renamed Other-xpnd_Autres-dep
