Supporting Documentation: Non-lapsing authorities granted/repealed in the current year
General Notes
Volume II, Section 1, Appendix 4 of the Public Accounts of Canada provides the full wording of most non-lapsing authorities (budgetary and non-budgetary) granted/repealed in the current year, by ministry. The budgetary non-lapsing authorities related to the spending of proceeds from the disposal of surplus Crown assets are excluded from this appendix. Details of such authorities are shown in Appendix 5 of Volume II of the Public Accounts of Canada.
Values referring to column Vote-nbr_No-credit:

(L): non-budgetary authority (loan, investment or advance)

As of the 2025 release, the following columns were renamed to improve readability and bilingualism:

2021-2022 data:
Environment and Climate Change, Parks Canada Agency, Vote 1: Subsection 19(2) of the Parks Canada Agency Act was repealed as of April 1st, 2021.
2023-2024 data:
For the record associated with a MINC value of "050" and a Department-name_Ministere-nom_eng value of "Department of Citizenship and Immigration", the Authority-desc__Desc-autorisation_eng value was originally published as "Loans to immigrants and refugees pursuant to subsection 88 (1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Limit increase to $250,000,000 (Net)". This value was corrected after publication to "Loans to immigrants and refugees pursuant to subsection 88 (1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Limit increase to $300,000,000 (Net)".
